Your First Night: Fire, Food, and the First Safe Loop
The first night is not a combat check. It is a resource and boundary check: get the fire established, gather only what daylight allows, and be inside the fire line before dark.
The first priority is the fire
The official description names the fire as the most important element: it provides warmth, light, and protection at night. Wood keeps it burning. Treat every early decision as either “feeds the fire” or “wastes daylight.”
Do not leave the fire boundary to chase a distant resource at dusk. The listing says the boundary lines around the fire are the protective zone; night spirits can quickly defeat a player caught outside it.
A conservative first-day loop
- Gather wood close to the fire.
- Pick up visible food: carrots, strawberries, meat, and other plants are named by the official listing.
- Make one weapon before wandering.
- Return to the fire boundary before the light goes.
- Only then spend materials on defense or a longer route.
This is a source-based order, not a tested speedrun. Exact fuel burn, night length, and spawn rates are not published.
What is not verified
Night duration, boar damage, spirit speed, food values, fire fuel values, and whether a first-night base is worth building are all unverified in this browser build. The page will be updated after a live match.
